Thanks to puzzle makers Ravensburger for this great idea! Start with a blank piece of A4 paper and use a ruler and pencil to draw a faint grid of squares onto the paper. The size of the squares will represent the size the puzzle pieces and will help you plan your design. Decide what the main image of your puzzle will be and draw this over at least three or four of the squares on a 12 square grid. After you’ve drawn your main picture, add lots of smaller details all over the rest of the page so there is something on each square. Then cut the squares into puzzle shaped pieces and you’re ready to put the puzzle together! This is a great idea for creativity and problem-solving.
