Bringing building blocks into the bath adds a whole new dynamic to what your child can do with them. Most building blocks float when in water, but as they start being attached to one another they will begin to sink. If you have a young child the simple act of playing with the blocks in the bath will add a new element of play, but as your child gets older you could set challenges, for example, how many blocks can you fit together before they sink or can they build a dam separating the water in the bath. You can take this outdoors by using a shallow paddling pool. Remember – make sure you dry the building blocks thoughrouly before putting away and you only use blocks appropriate for your child’s age.
